Dr. Jessica Ayres, DO
Jessica Ayres, DO is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. She attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where she earned her bachelor's degree in neuroscience. Following her studies at Franklin and Marshall, she attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where she continued her studies in Biomedical Sciences. Jessica received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She began her residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia and residency in family practice at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol.
Following her medical schooling, Dr. Ayres began her professional career as a primary care physician in Curwensville, PA. She worked in this role for two years before joining the SWC team.
Dr. Baltazar Corcino, MD
Dr. Baltazar Corcino is a medical doctor with a longstanding history of internal medicine in the Clearfield area. Dr. Corcino graduated from the University of Santo Tomas School of Medicine of the Philippines in 1963. He has worked in various settings in the Clearfield area from emergency room, private practice and hospital settings.
Following his medical schooling, Dr. Corcino began his professional career in 1971 at the Clearfield Hospital where he pioneered the emergency room. Additionally he has worked at the Clearfield Professional Group (1988-2005), Clear Med Providers (2005-2014) and most recently at Penn Highlands Healthcare (2014-2020).
In his spare time Dr. Corcino enjoys watching sports, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is a big Penn State football fan. His passion for people is what keeps him working in the field and he is eager to welcome new patients at the clinic.
Megan Patrick, RN, RD, LDN
Megan Patrick, a native of Clearfield, is the Practice Manager at the Susquehanna Wellness Clinic. Megan brings a diverse background to the clinic as she has played many roles in the medical setting.
She received her bachelor's of science degree in dietetics/nutrition from Western Kentucky University in 2000. As a registered dietitian, Megan worked in various settings including pediatrics, long-term care and dialysis for 13 years. A licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Megan worked in elder care as an administrator for 4 years before returning to school to receive an associates of science degree in nursing from Lock Haven University (2013). She worked as a registered nurse in dialysis and rehabilitative settings before joining the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging as the Director of Care Transitions and Assessments.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and son and being active. Megan is a certified fitness instructor and devotes her free time to teaching classes at the Clearfield YMCA.
Laura Nearhood, RN
Laura Nearhood is a registered nurse who brings over 20 years of experience in the hospital setting. She received her associate of science degree of nursing from Northampton Community College in 1994. She brings over 20 years of experience in pediatric, surgical, ICU and ER settings.
Laura’s hobbies and interests include emergency medicine, health and wellness and educating individuals. “I am passionate about caring for, supporting and educating individuals/families about their disease processes. Empowering people with knowledge makes them better self-managers of their medical conditions.”
Linda Young, LPN
Linda Young, a native of Clearfield, is a licensed practical nurse who specializes in geriatric nursing. She received her licensing from Clearfield Vocational-Technical Practical Nursing Program in 1986.
Young brings over 30 years' experience as an LPN with experience in nursing facilities and family practice. She is very passionate about geriatric nursing because “it emphasizes helping aging adults maintain their abilities and quality of life and that is the kind of nursing she wants to be a part of.”
In her spare time, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and her two children Ryan and Brittany. An animal lover, Linda has five dogs that she adores.
