Hi! My name is Linda Young and I am a licensed practical nurse at Susquehanna Wellness Clinic (SWC). I am married to my husband Tom and I have two children and 5 fur babies that I adore. I received my licensing from the Clearfield Vocational-Technical Practical Nursing Program in 1986. I have been a nurse for 34 years and started my career working in a skilled nursing facility for 12 of those years.
Following my time in the nursing facility, I became a part of a family practice setting. Family practice was a different style of nursing for me, but I enjoyed it every day. Each day was unique and my coworkers were all very helpful.
Ten years later I accepted a nursing position with Dr. Corcino in Internal Medicine. I became close with the doctor, coworkers and patients, but after 10 years it was time for me to make a change in my career. At this time, I accepted a position with the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. (CCAAA) and... WOW!!!! I entered the agency to a staff that had open arms and were ready to help me by providing guidance through the changes I was about to endeavor.
In November of 2020, SWC opened their doors to a new clinic and I was lucky enough to be asked to be a nurse at the clinic. I can’t even emphasize how excited I was to be working with Dr. Corcino once again. The staff at SWC are my family and friends. I am very passionate about caring for each patient and being there when they need me.
